Classic Slingback Espadrilles

Eric Michael has become one of my favorite choices when I’m looking for espadrille sandals.  Some styles I prefer more, like the “Bonnet” 2 inch wrapped heel shown here.

Espadrilles keep your feet cool in the summer when your feet feel like they are stuck in saunas.  First seen on the beach babes of old, the sun-goddess has been refashioned into cosmopolitan accents.  Now they are like wedges, and are fabulous for day time wear.  They are cute, casual, preppy, classic, and all American.  The natural white color of jute is a design feature of these modern sandals.  Clarks twill are chic sandals that are sophisticated and versatile, but thanks to their styling, not at all stodgy. They look great in this photo and it makes us reconsider the idea that if we had to choose between Converse and espadrilles we would not pick the Converse.  They aren’t the best deal for Anne Klein but seem to fit better, feel more comfortable while lasting longer.  In Paris, women wear peep-toe espadrille sandals as soon as they can in the year. It’s a simple and classical shoe.
